Cook County
Lions Club
About Us
Our club was chartered on June 22, 2009 and made up of 20+ business professionals throughout 15 communities within Cook County.  We meet virtually and conduct 5-10 service projects a year.  We focus the majority of our service projects in effort to help and support those throughout Cook County.

Meet the Officers

Lion Tamara Ivetic (President) - Lion Tamara was the charter President and has also served as Secretary and Membership Chairperson for the club.  As a a manager of Membership and New Club Development at Lions Clubs International she had a dream to form a new club and was able to find 20 family and friends to make this dream a reality.

Her favorite service was when the club donated and planted three fruit trees at Envision Unlimted which is a social service nonprofit that services adults with developmental disabilities.  The trees were purchased through Seguin Services, another charitable not-for-profit agency  that enriches and empowers people with disabilities.

Lion Pattie Wisneski (Secretary) - Lion Pattie is also a chater member of the Cook County Lions Club.  She previously served as club secretary.

She is unable to pick just one project because she loves them all.  From Special Olympics Bowling to the Greater Chicago Food Depository and collecting school supplies or purchasing eye glasses for someone in need.

Lion Samantha Kwit (Treasurer) - Lion Samantha helped to charter the Cook County Lions Club and served as its Secretary for the first two years and will serve as its Treasurer for the third year. Also a staff member at LCI headquarters, Samantha is a Buyer for just about anything the association needs and always does so with every member (and their dues) in mind.

Her favorite service project is volunteering as a club at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. There are few places where you can work in such an efficient environment that just a few hours of your time can literally equate to hundreds, if not thousands, of struggling people receiving a meal or having the ability to feed their families. It's also a fantastic work out with nary a dull moment!

Lion Rebekah Perez-Grahovac (Secretary) - Lion Rebekah is a charter member.  This year is her first year as a club officer. She is excited to be apart of making  a different in peoples lives as well as meeting additional friends from all around the world.

It was very hard to for Lion Rebekah to pick her favorite service project; however, making an impact in her local community always brings a smile to her face. By working with the Greater Chicago Food Depository in any capacity brings her joy just by knowing that she is helping provide nourishment to her community.

Lion Janice Wiggins (Immediate Past President) - Lion Janice is a charter member.  Two years ago she was the Cook County Lions Club President.  This year she remains part of the club officer team as the Immediate Past President.  Lion Janice also serves as District 1A's Zone Chairperson and Public Relations Chairperson.
